As a Network Administrator, I manage network installation, manage data communication facility, manage network security and maintains network hardware. The bank has network across the nation with the centralized and real time banking system. The performance of the network determines the quality of service customers across the country receive from the bank. It is based on Cisco Routers and switches. The head offices has servers running Solaris,Fedora Core and Windows 2003 Servers. The entire network is connected to Internet via wireless link to local ISP. Due to time factor a number of topics that the instructor intended to cover were not covered. I believe the introduction of this track is addressing this time factor. My application is mainly because I want to attend this track in appropriate time and to have my interests properly covered. The network need closer monitoring and effective management.
